Lamborghini's Winter Accademia driver’s training program engaged over 130 participants from 25 different countries. The program took place from the end of February till the beginning of March and guests drove the Lamborghinis in Italy as well as the United States.
Two types of courses were offered during the program: “Intensivo”, with a duration of one day and “Avanzato”, which was for two days. The participants were guided by fifteen professional instructors, including Lamborghini GT3 factory drivers. They gave them theoretical lessons, tips on how to control oversteer and finally, how to get in good lap times.
The fleet that was at the disposal of the participants at the program, comprised a total of 25 cars, including the Aventador SV and the Huracan LP 620-2 Super Trofeo racecar. They were equipped with Pirelli Winter Sottozero tires for optimum grip on snow. The majority of attendees were from the USA, UK and Netherlands, while there were also people from India, Oman, Poland, Taiwan and Slovakia. Interestingly, the age of the participants varied from 21 to 60.
