An ultra-rare Lamborghini Veneno is up for sale and can be purchased for an impressive price through a German website and a Japanese broker.
The price is in part determined by the fact that only five vehicles like the one for sale, rolled out of the factory, and of those five, only three were made available for purchase. In a new condition the Lamborghini Veneno was available for $4.5 million. Now, with the collector car market the way that it is, the Veneno up for sale wears a slightly heavier price tag.
For $11.1 million, this particular Veneno is the most expensive post-2000 supercar ever offered for sale. Even the mighty Ferrari Enzo “only” brings home around $6 million at auction, and the ultra-cool Carrera GT usually sees a hammerfall of just under $1 million. Underneath the sci-fi exterior of this rare auto lies the bones of a Lamborghini Aventador. A 6.5-liter V-12 engine sends 740 hp to all four wheels through a seven-speed transmission, resulting in a 0-60-mph time of just under three seconds, and a top speed north of 220 mph.
