Mercedes-Benz introduced its largest SUV, called GLS.
Although in reality in front of us is just an upgraded GL, which was renamed in accordance with the new concept - previous GLK was GLC, ML became a GLE, well, the smallest crossover was called GLA.
The Germans themselves are proud to say that the GLS is a true S-Class among SUVs - which is why in the name they used the "S" letter. And in many ways they are right. This SUV has always distinguished the highest level of comfort, and only an updated vehicle should be more liked by the drivers and passengers.
They have not only slightly re-designed: a new grille with three-beam star, other bumpers, different tail lights and so on. They have also renewed the interior of the car, with a new center console with a large color set at the top screen. In addition, the car has received a touch panel through which you can write with your finger and give instructions to the navigation system, a stylish 3-spoke steering wheel and many more.
Updates were made also under the hood. They increased the power engine till the 4.7-liter V8 and a 449 hp. The coolest version of the GLS 63 AMG has 577 hp. In the nearest future, all the Mercedes versions (except AMG) will work with the new 9-speed transmission.
The official release of the new «S-Class off-road vehicle" will be held later this month at the LA Auto Show.
